Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
The Chrome extension "mazemaze" ("the extension") is designed with your privacy as the top priority.
Data we collect
The extension never collects or transmits user data to developer servers. Standard translation runs locally on-device using Chrome built-in AI. Only when a user explicitly configures an optional Gemini or OpenAI API key, chosen text for translation is sent directly to that provider (subject to that provider's privacy policy and terms).
About translation
By default, sentences are translated using Chrome's built-in AI (Translator API) entirely on your local device with zero external transmission. When optional API fallback (Gemini or OpenAI) is enabled, only the text selected for translation is sent directly to that provider.
Settings we store
The extension stores only the following settings. They are saved in Chrome's sync storage (chrome.storage.sync) and sync only within your own Chrome account.
- The mix ratio (slider value)
- The language pair (page language / language to learn)
- Appearance (auto/light/dark) and the look of swapped sentences
Permissions
- activeTab: Used only to access the text of the tab where you pressed "Mix".
- scripting: Used to inject the script that swaps sentences into the target tab when you run a mix.
- storage: Used to save the settings listed above.
Website Analytics and Cookies
This website (mazemaze.mojofull.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and improve user experience. This involves cookies, but data is only collected if you explicitly accept via the consent banner.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or changing your browser settings. The Chrome extension itself contains zero tracking tags or analytics, and standard built-in translation operates entirely on your local device (excluding optional API integration).
Changes to this policy
Any changes to this policy will be announced on this page.
